The Moving Van has Left!

Well, the moving van left this afternoon at 5:10pm and I am just pooped!!! This so far has been the best moving company we have had in our 10 moves!!! Kenny ownes the company - called Friends Moving. He is a very nice young man in his mid 30's and his sidekick is Rodger. They arrived early, were clean and neat, friendly and funny. Moved quickly and efficiently. All in all a great experience. They travel up and down usually from the Carolina's, Georgia and Florida. They do full house moves and little small moves (they delivered a washer and dryer on this trip in Vero Beach which is about an 1 1/2 north of my condo)

So tomorrow I clean up all the nice empty areas of the condo - there is an echo in here now!!;o))

I did get to stitch a bit today and I am going to stitch this evening - so back on track!!

I must tell you after they moved out the wall unit and moved our couch - there was a unbelievable amount of "Kitty Toys" that had been hidden for a pretty long time. So I will be bagging up all the little mice and flowers and rubber band and bringing them to Macon for Ms Saddles, Mr Mars and now Ms Natsuki.

Tomorrow the movers will pick up, our daughter, Lindsay's things and move her to our house.

Lindsay will stay with us for about 6 months - she is planning to go back to school and to get a part time job. She is making a clean new start - no more tourist, traffic and high rent!!

Life is definitely taking on a whole new look - should be fun!!

Well, off to refill my wine glass. Will keep you all updated as our life move forward.

Saturday class in Atlanta - Moda Tin

Before I pack the rest of the house I thought I would post a picture of the Moda Tin Class with Jane Timmers. This is a teaching piece only. It is not for sale. The class was great fun and we learned how to put the pieces together - we actually did line our tins.

There was not enough time for Jane to get the fabric and the designs out to the students before the class, so the class was mostly demonstation since we did not have the pieces stitched.

It may be a while before I pop in again - we'll see how timing goes!!

Books I have purchased

Well, I am busy packing away and realized that I had forgot to tell you all about some wonderful books that I had purchased at a huge "used" book sale that is put on each year by the "friends of the library". As many of you know people donate books to the library for them to sell and earn much needed money to keep the library system up to par.

Well, this book sale was so big that I never got very far before I had my money that I had designated to spend was gone!! I started just poking around and found the "craft table" where there was books on every imaginable hobbie one could think of - from stitching to woodworking to auto mechanics. Well, I found some wonderful stitching books and several of them are classics and are out of print and I know that I have them already back in Florida. But if so I will just redonate them back to the library of give them to the EGA stash to stash fundraiser.

Well, just behind the craft table of books was the children's books and lo and behold there was a Beatrix Potter book - so an intense search through the childrens tables produced several Beatrix Potter books. The prices were very reasonable and the books were not all in good condition but thought I might be able to use them somehow in a display with the finished and framed sampler (which is still not framed yet!!!)

Well back to packing - coffee break and e-mail break is over!!

Closing is tomorrow - moving is Friday morning!!! Yeah!!
With friendship, fabric and fibers,
Roberta

I've been tagged!!

Hi all, I have been tagged by Heidi. Not sure I know how this will work but I am suppose to do a 6 word memoir. Now this could be most unnerving trying to put everything you feel into 6 words. So here is what I came up with LOVING MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND HOBBIES. Now I hope I have done this correctly. I also like to read garden but couldn't figure out how to add that to the list!

Now I have to tag 6 people, haven't figured out how to do that yet!! will try later. So watch out here I come.
